Out of the Salon!

Doing a little bit of travel to London and Edinburgh for the next two weeks.  (vacation...conferencing...pub crawling...etc...)  I was going to try to use the 'blogging' app on my phone (just incase I come across somethign awesome and have to share it!) but I am not sure how well it will work.  I had no luck using the Nike+ app on my phone so I am not feeling too optimistic. I will be updating on twitter though!

Until then!

Out of the Salon: Canada

I am travelling abroad this week & weekend to the exotic soils of Canada! Very exciting as I have not been in years...

I will probably be providing 'trip-updates' on twitter if you want to follow me there.  I just hope I get some fair weather when I get there (packing dresses only!)
Enjoy the week! Be back soon ~L

Out of the Salon

I will be away from the blog for a little bit because I am moving! Yay, very exciting! But also a lot of work and stress, so for the next few days as I get settled (this has been a long process) I will not be posting. But you can find me on twitter!

Be back soon!!

Out of the Salon and Some fun posts about artist Elizabeth Vigee Lebrun and Fragonard

I will be out of the salon for the next few days,  making a trip to merry New England!  While I am away, be sure to take part in my poll for this week! Also, let me know of any fun happenings I am missing out on!

Out of the Salon: visiting the countryside

Heather and I will be away for the weekend, taking a much needed break in the country!  We have a party of five and will be joining two more at a fabulous early century farmhouse. Posh! See you all on Monday!

Out of the Salon: Conferencing and such

I will be out of town and more importantly away from my trusted computer for the rest of the week!  I am sure I will miss a lot of the happenings in blog land so, bear with!  I will do my best to keep up to date on ye olde Twitter, so you can always reach me there!

So a few things before I head out:
Last week we had a poll "Why do you love 18th century France?" and the results are in!

The art
  37 (39%)
The fashion
  68 (73%)
The political scene
  20 (21%)
The music
  30 (32%)
The theatre
  21 (22%)
The royal court
  43 (46%)
The architecture
  39 (41%)
The scandals!
  33 (35%)

Clearly we are a very fashionable crowd with extensive knowledge of the historical royal court and its colorful inhabitants with an appreciation for architecture and art!

The Scarlet PimpernelI started to read The Scarlet Pimpernel avec Heather, and I just love it. In fact, it has been the source of my lack of sleep lately! I stay up and say 'just one more chapter' and then of course regret my foolish choice the next morning- but when a book is that good, how can you complain! If anyone else wants to read along I suggest it! We can all discuss SP & the characters within!

Ok, off to bed! *tosses book across the room*

Out of the Salon: Seaside Heights

Oh here I go again! Off on some more adventures, this time with Heather, and it will require a lot of travel time.  I wont have the internet sadly...(ugh!) but twitter is always an option.  Where would we be without technology! I suppose I should finish up packing...
See you all soon! Will post twitpics!

Out of the Salon: Seaside

It is that time of year, when I make my pilgrimage to the warm waters of the seashore.  Best way to enjoy the sun.  Will be away for a week! Will anyone else be traveling?

Out of the Salon: Wedding festivities

I will be travelling this weekend for wedding festivities! Very exciting. Must pack dress, shoes, hair supplies &c... Staying in a historic hotel which should be posh.

Do enter the giveaway if you have a chance, and you can always catch me on Twitter.
Best!

Out of the Salon
