The Interrupted Sleep, 1750



Boucher's The Interrupted Sleep caught my eye while passing through the museum...



Great frame, great composition.

A fun fact about this piece is that it originally was displayed at Madame de Pompadour's Château de Bellevue pictured below. Just imagine all the people this painting has seen...or all that have seen this painting!
